Dental Care in Pattaya: Quality & Cost
What dental care really costs in Pattaya — cleaning, crowns and implants in baht — why it's a dental-tourism hub, and how to choose a good English-speaking clinic.
Good, affordable dentistry is one of Pattaya’s quiet perks — it’s a genuine dental-tourism hub, with modern clinics, English-speaking dentists and prices a fraction of what you’d pay back home.
Costs below are typical 2026 ranges and vary by clinic and case. Always get a written quote and check the dentist’s credentials.
What it costs (rough 2026 ranges)
- Cleaning (scale & polish): ~1,500–3,000 THB, depending on how much work is needed.
- Ceramic crown: from around 15,000 THB.
- Single dental implant: from about 40,000 THB plus ~15,000 for the crown — roughly 50,000 THB, or about 80,000 THB all-in at clinics that quote fixed packages.
- Root canal, fillings, extractions: modest by Western standards.
Many clinics offer payment in instalments for larger work.
Choosing a clinic
Pattaya has plenty of options with strong English and international-standard facilities (for example Pattaya International Dental Center, and several well-reviewed private clinics). To choose well:
- Check credentials and reviews, and ask where the dentist trained.
- Get a written, itemised quote before agreeing to major work.
- For implants and crowns, ask about the materials and brands used and the warranty.
- Don’t be rushed into a big treatment plan on the first visit.
A sensible approach
For routine care — cleanings, fillings, the occasional crown — Pattaya is excellent value and easy. For complex work, get a second opinion and compare a couple of clinics. Because routine dentistry is so affordable here, many retirees simply budget for it directly rather than relying on insurance.
The bottom line
Dentistry is one area where Pattaya genuinely shines on both quality and price. Choose a reputable clinic, get itemised quotes, and you’ll likely pay far less than at home for comparable care.
